Grounding into Gratitude and Stillness

A Gentle Pause

As autumn deepens and November unfolds, the world around us begins to quieten. The trees shed their final leaves, the evenings draw in earlier, and there is a natural invitation to slow down. This month, mindfulness is about noticing the spaces between the stillness, the breath, the pause, and before the chaos of December descends upon the world.

Mindful Focus of the Month: Gratitude in the Ordinary

It’s easy to feel grateful for the big moments, but what about the small, everyday ones? The warmth of a morning cup of tea, a walk on a crisp afternoon, the smile exchanged with a stranger, the sound of nature and clouds in the sky. Those tiny moments are the ones that can propel us into the present moment, bringing a simple peace of mind and stillness many of us crave.

Practice: Each evening, write down three small things you’re thankful for that day. Notice how your awareness of the present moment grows over time as you collect these tiny gems that often go missed or even taken for granted.

Seasonal Reflection

What is nature teaching you right now?
Like the trees, we too can let go of what no longer serves us. Consider what habits, thoughts, or pressures you might gently release this season to create space for rest and renewal.

Practice: Can you identify any thinking patterns that are now outdated and no longer serve you in a healthy way? What, where, when, who, trigger this way of thinking/being? Without judgement or critique, ask yourself what alternative approach would serve you better, always with love, compassion and healthy boundaries of course. Use the Head, Heart, Gut model perhaps.

Get curious……What could you do/be that would be very much out of your comfort zone or,“Plot twist”, what could you stop doing that would push your comfort zone? Something just for you and maybe your inner child too? Something that would bring you some peace, joy or even just put a smile on that beautiful face of yours.

Namaste sweet soul

Love and light always.
